How ready for spring are you? If you’re anywhere near me, we’ve been dealing with frigid wind and snow for the list 4 months, and I’m so eager for some sun, and fresh air blowing through my house every day!
This dress screams spring to me, and it makes me so excited!
This is the Venice pattern from New Horizons. It’s a women’s pattern, but the tutorial includes directions on how to remove the dart, which is what I did for my tween!
There are so many options included, but I think the split sleeves are the star, so I wanted to showcase them.
This is the mini length, plus the split short sleeves. I love it in a simple rayon, so it’s breezy, and the most easy thing to wear!
My growing girl is loving this, and I love that I get to sew to her taste, and size for a perfect fit! It’s time to sew a Venice for spring!
You might be thinking these are some basic looking sweat pants. BUT YOU WOULD BE WRONG.
First, I love that I can make this wardrobe basic in a perfect fit for my kids. You can blend sizes, lengthen or shorten to your heart’s content. We wear sweats all day, and I love having this pattern in my files!
Second, the pocket design is so good. I love some good lines, and you can angle the pocket either way, plus the side stripe gives good places to color block!
Third, this comes in three shorts, plus pants lengths! You can wear these all year round with using a different option from the pattern.
I used some high quality sweatshirt fabric from Jumping June, and that just makes this “basic” such a good feeling pair of pants. I love how soft, thick, and stretchy it is!
