Street Style

I LOVED creating these outfits, and mostly getting to shoot photos of them NOT on my front porch, lol!

With 5 kiddos always with me, since we homeschool, it’s really hard to go anywhere to take photos. But I knew this one was worthy of the effort. Or actually, I knew where I could go take photos in a safe place, where my younger ones could come and play too.

The Project Run & Play designer collaborations is one of my favorite recent things that’s happening. If you haven’t followed along, there have now been 3 collaborations between former PR&P designers to create a collection, and then a bunch of us get to sew pieces from it for a look book.

Seeing how others interpret something, when you all have the same designs to start with is so amazing for me. And then they’re all put together in a beautiful digital book, which is so inspiring! Two of the collections have been patterns, and one was fabric designs.

The patterns I sewed, were the Easy Street Tee, and the Via dress. They’re both pretty simple, but that fits my aesthetic well. I love basics, and comfy, and easy. The Via dress is made from 3 colors of Cotton Lycra. The white is a French terry, but the other colors are jersey. It’s super fun to color block with!

The Easy Street Tee is a dolman, with cuffs, and a long sleeve option. The back dips a little lower, though there’s also a boys version of the pattern too.

My girlies loved taking photos at one of the skate parks near our home. I was thankful it was empty. I’ve never been there without big kids using it, so it was perfect!

I hope you’ll take the chance to flip through the look book, and pick up the patterns from the collection that inspire you!

Thank you for reading!
