Who else is sewing for a tween that won’t stop shooting up? She’s wearing my cami, boots, and necklace in this picture, and I’m not tiny!
I can’t keep up with her, and I love finding patterns that work well for her tween style, and come in a size range that works for her!
This is the Tanacross Cardigan from New Horizons Designs. There are 2 length options, hip, and knee. This is the hip length, only because I had a pre-cut piece of fabric to work with 🙂 I found this one at Wal-Mart… $2 for 2 yards! Score!! I’ve cut into more Wal-Mart fabric than anything else. I think because it’s so cheap, I don’t feel as terrible if I mess up. Does anyone else think like that?
I LOVE the option for trim on this one. I could have left it off, but I was inspired by a grey sweater I found with wide crochet lace. I think it adds a nice touch to what would have otherwise been a pretty basic cardigan!
Check this pattern out, and the women’s version too, if it’s coming up on fall where you live! You won’t regret it!
