I know I normally post about pattern companies on the blog, but I am affiliated with a few fabric companies as well, and I want to share about Raspberry Creek Fabrics today! I have been a huge fan/customer for a few years. They recently opened up an application for seamstresses to sew their new collection fabrics, and I was chosen! I received the fabric I used in these outfits for free, in exchange for my photos and promotion. This blog was not required, but I wanted a place to share all the photos together. I have been sharing about them and all my makes from them for years, so it’s safe to say I love them wholeheartedly, all opinions shared here are honest!

RCF comes out with 2 big collections a year, fall and spring, and several other mini collections throughout, swim, Halloween, Christmas, 4th of July, etc… Their big collections release on two bases, Cotton spandex, and cotton spandex French terry. All prints are available on both bases. They also release other prints throughout the year on ponte, rayon challis, swim, etc… Their custom printed collection lines are called CLUB fabrics.

They have their own printers, and the printing process is: “eco-friendly and done without harmful chemicals. Our pigments are Oeko-Tex certified and environmentally friendly.” Their prices are also phenomenal for custom printing. Cotton spandex is not the cheapest fabric to buy, and instead of mid-$20’s, like a lot of custom groups, their prices are around $10-$12 per yard for the custom prints. They stock a lot of other non-custom prints, and the pricing on those is very comparable to other online fabric shops.

The turn-around time is also excellent. Normally your order ships out in 3-5 business days. It lengthens to 5-7 business days on busy times, like new collection release week.

I was able to choose 2 prints from the new line, and 2 coordinates to sew with them. The Prints I chose were the blue/yellow color way of the hexagons, and the embroidered look floral. I chose the blue/yellow triangle print for my coordinate for the hexagons, and charcoal jersey to coordinate with the floral, but I changed plans a bit when my fabric arrived. I ended up sewing the charcoal with the hexagons and triangles, and using the floral on it’s own. I had 1 yard of each fabric, and still have enough floral to make a baby outfit, and enough triangles to make something else for one of my kids! The charcoal was used up within an inch of it’s life, literally. I have NOTHING left of that, but tiny strips of scraps! The stripes are basics from the CLUB line that are always available.

I usually buy 2 yards of anything I don’t have a plan for, just in case, but it was exciting to me to sew with 1 yard cuts, and see how much I could actually get from it, especially since I’m mostly sewing for kids! That will allow me to buy more prints, and use them up/not hoard so much 🙂

The new collections are on sale for $1 off for one week after release, that will be going on through this week. They released last Friday, so be sure to check out the new line, and purchase the ones you love now!

I sewed quite a few different patterns for all of these, and I will list them at the end of the post! I am so excited to have coordinating brother outfits, we are all so excited to meet this newest little one!

Raspberry Creek also released a mini BTS collection a few weeks ago, and I bought from that immediately! These fabrics were not provided to me. My 8 year old loves math, and she was desperate for this print, so I made her a dress from it. I know it’s going to get worn so much! I also grabbed the paper airplanes and dinos to make some more things for the winter for my boys 🙂 Everything I’ve sewed with in this post is the jersey. The airplanes and dinos I bought in French terry to make some cozier things for fall.

This dress is the Sahara pattern from Bella Sunshine Designs. It is the most perfectly designed scoop back, circle skirt dress. I love it so much.

Ok. I know this was a long, and photo-heavy post, but I wanted to put it all in one place! You can join the Raspberry Creek Fabrics facebook group to see all the other photos from the fall line, and to catch sales, and news/updates.
