Knot tees are so popular right now. I love how it’s a play on the half-tucked in look, because I love that look too 🙂 This is a new pattern for a knot tee from Made for Mermaids, and it’s SO simple to make! No extra pieces to cut, you make the knot right from the front bodice pattern piece! Or you can make the top without the knot, which gives you another great basic shirt option. These are perfect for the drapey knits you have in your stash.
I made a long sleeve top for myself, and a tank for my daughter. This probably took me 30 minutes, or less to sew. You want to know something else amazing about this pattern? You have to hem it before you can finish the knot, so there’s no putting it off. Haha! As soon as you’re “finished” sewing, you’re actually finished. 😛
Check out the options in the line drawing! The dress is perfectly relaxed at the bottom, so it’s a fun, comfy tee dress, but I love the knot that makes it a little different.

I have finally come to the point in my fabric hoarding that I actually can’t remember where a few pieces came from! I believe my stripe was from a mystery box fromLDG Textiles, but I’m not sure. It’s some kind of jersey, maybe some rayon, but not tons of stretch. My daughter’s floral tank was rayon spandex from Vinegar and Honey. ❤ I can’t wait to sew some basic colors to upgrade my momiform this fall!
