Isla’s Infinity Tunic and Dress

Just look at that back!! I love the heart cut out. It’s a sweet way to make this dress or top special, and it’s so simple!

This is Isla from Simple Life Pattern Company, and it’s crazy full of options!

Bodice lengths:

-Curved (hi-low)

-Drop waist

Skirt options:

-Circle (tunic or dress length)

-Gathered (tunic or dress length)

-Tank, flutter, short, elbow, 3/4, or long sleeves

-Optional circle or gathered sleeve ruffles (or layered ruffles)

Other options:

-Bodice ruffles

-Inseam pockets

-Optional heart cut out in back

Sooo… you can make about a zillion different dresses or tops! Ha!

I made the hi-low (curved bodice) in top length, with elbow sleeves, and circle sleeve ruffles, with a tunic length circle skirt. I love it!! It’s so perfect, and easy in all knit, but you can make the skirt or ruffles in woven as well! The bodice is lined, which also makes it quick and easy.

It’s on sale right now for $7.50! You can check out the Get the Look listings for this pattern as well to get a whole kit, fabric plus pattern to make this top or dress!

I’m sorry all my pictures are of the back of the dress, but that’s the best part!

Spice Cake

Spice Cake is the cutest top with the cutest name!! This is the girls version of the Pumpkin Spice Dolman from Patterns for Pirates.

This is a dolman pattern, which are so quick and easy to sew, and this one has lots of options! You can make short, 3/4 or long sleeves, make regular shirt length, or curved hem length, or banded, with a short or tall band. Plus there are two neck band options.

This pattern comes in sizes 3m0-14.

I made both of these in a light sweater knit which adds to the super cozy feel. Your girls will want to live in them all fall and winter! These floral leggings are the Bonny leggings from Made for Mermaids which whip up so fast!

I started this outfit after bedtime one night, and I don’t have much time after the kids go to bed 🙂 And took these pictures early the next morning. It’s seriously so fast.

Since my sweater knit did not have great recovery, I used clear elastic in the shoulder, neckband and bottom band seams. It’s holding it’s shape really well! I’ve recently been keeping several yards on hand just for things like this.

Don’t miss the release sale pricing! This pattern will be on sale for $7.50 through Sunday 10/9.

Oh, and check out this little photo bomber who wouldn’t stay out of the way. He was a camera hog till I sent him inside, lol!

Mattie’s Scalloped Suspender Skirt

I love a good alliteration 🙂

This gorgeous skirt is a new pattern from Simple life Pattern Company! Scallops are one of my favorite little design details, and this is an amazing execution of them! The proportion is perfect, and the rest of the skirt just lets them shine.

This is Mattie’s and the options for this pattern include suspenders, a ruffle around the top of the waistband, and other fun embellishments, like piping, or embroidery on the front! There’s also a tall waistband option.

It comes in sizes 2T-12.

I normally don’t post much about the fabric specifically, but this mustard chambray is just gorgeous! I love all shades of mustard for Fall. Normally, I like the bolder, more saturated versions, but this lighter shade was just perfect, and a nice change of pace for me, while still looking perfect for the season. This is from Raspberry Creek Fabrics, one of my top favorite stores!

Matties’s was released with a top that looks so cute with it, Helena’s, that I did not sew, but want to mention, because you can purchase them bundled together for some good savings.
